Ando Hiroshige

Ando Hiroshige (1797-1858), one of the most famous Japanese Ukiyo-e artists, won fame as a landscape artist.   Drawing upon personal travels, he gained international acclaim utilizing unusual vantage points, striking color, and realistic depth  creating an unfathomable 5,400 prints in his lifetime.
